We present these pages to offer some
well-deserved recognition for the wonderful people who
have given their ideas, sweat, and time to the Marshalltown Community
Theatre. Without their efforts, our theatre would be little
more than a dark room. We celebrate your generous gift to our
community!
If
you
have participated in an MCT production in the past, in any capacity,
please take your bow with the folks on these pages. Contact the MCT
Technical Director to arrange to be included.

Britta ADAMS
Knoxville, TN
Growing up in
Marshalltown, Britta found herself being an audience spectator at MCT
most of the time, until the summer of 2006. While joining us in Marshalltown for
a short time, Britta made her debut performance in WORKING before
leaving again and going to Knoxville, TN. Being a musician, she is
no stranger to the stage, and has welcomed this new musical challenge.

Janet ALBEE Marshalltown, IA
Janet has been very
active in the arts over the years. She has choreographed shows for
MCC and the Community Theatre, including several GALA's. Janet has been
honored with the Martha Ellen Tye award twice. Once for Outstanding
Performance in GYPSY and again the following year for choreography.
Janet's performance in our 2003 production of THE WOMEN is the latest in a
line of shows that includes THE SOUND OF MUSIC, OCTET BRIDGE CLUB, THE
HEIRESS, and ANNIE. Who knows what lies in the future?

Ken ANDERSON Marshalltown, IA
Ken made his
long-overdue return to our stage as Clyde Elliot in
COCKTAILS WITH MIMI during the fall of 2007. He was glad to be
back, since his previous MCT performance was as the Inspector in AN INSPECTOR CALLS way back
in 1999. Ken manages the Marshalltown Chamber of Commerce, and while he
has some spare time, the chance to perform in an MCT play is very
challenging. "It gives me a chance to really stretch my comfort level."

Pat APGAR Marshalltown, IA
Pat feels fortunate
to be one of a few remaining cast members of the original MCT company,
where he performed many parts in his youth, from 1932 through 1942.
He fondly recalls, during the Great Depression, how theatre patrons
brought sacks of coal to heat the old Miller Auditorium, trying to ward
off the record breaking cold temperatures during performances.
Pat's veteran stage career started in grade school with Thimble Theater
productions and continued throughout high school, including the one act
play, CROW'S NEST, which won the highest honors given in state-wide
competition. He enjoyed being in our GALA TREASURES 2006 where he
performed in the skit "Soap," because he was able to read his letters to
the maid without having to actually memorize his lines. He said,
"It was perfect for me." Pat hopes to present a similar one-man
skit in the future that he feels is even more hilarious than "Soap"!
