SYNOPSIS:
Based on the Charles Dickens novel
Oliver Twist, this musical follows the life of abuse a young orphan
endures as
he lives in a workhouse, only to be sold into indentured servitude to an undertaker for daring
to ask for more food. The new living arrangement proves to be no
better and he is locked in a cellar for fighting. After escaping
the cellar, Oliver falls in with a gang of pick-pockets and thieves until he is
apprehended for a crime he did not commit. As a way of compensating for
this wrongful accusation, the wealthy victim of the pick-pockets offers to take
Oliver in.
The thieves now fear Oliver will identify them to the authorities, so they hatch
a plan to kidnap him and they succeed. The action that follows leads to an exciting finale as the
curtain comes down. This show promises to be amazing with lots of action
and many familiar and noteworthy songs. Make plans to audition for this
wonderful musical, or help out on a crew backstage, or even enjoy it as a member of our
